In recent years, the United States has witnessed a concerning decline in STEM education and proficiency levels. The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) reports that only 36% of 12th-grade students in the U.S. are proficient in math, and just 35% are proficient in science (source: NAEP, 2019).
